Edibles

I first enjoyed gardening when I moved to Berkeley from the Chicago area. Up until then gardening was a punishment doled out by my mother for misbehaving. We cut the lawn and raked and burned large piles of leaves in the fall. Now that was fun. But that really is not gardening. But growing things to eat changed all that. It just seemed right to produce your own food. All of a sudden gardening had a purpose.

We encourage part of the landscape to have a vegetable garden and fruit trees. Food is life. Growing food helps you to grow for life. We are happy to help you with your garden as part of a maintenance program.

We will also work with kids.

Satisfaction of growing your own food. Being self-sufficient. You can’t beat that.
