Roots ‘n Shoots Landscaping is a family-run business performing all aspects of landscaping in the Bay Area for the past thirty years.

I’m Mark Roberts, the owner of Roots ‘n Shoots Landscaping. I am an arborist and can diagnose plant problems.  We practice Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and use least toxic methods in dealing with plant problems.  We are committed to environmentally sound practices.

We are knowledgeable about native, drought-tolerant, and deer-resistant plants.

Proper water is an important element to plant success.  We are irrigation specialists and can design and install new systems.  We can also do irrigation repair and upgrades to fit changing plant needs.

We design and install all types of retaining walls, stairs, decks and patios.  We have installed barbeque enclosures, rock water features, rock planter boxes.

Whatever your outside needs are we can help.  We can adapt our services to meet your needs and your budget.  We enjoy working closely with our clients to come up with a beautiful, functional landscape.

Administrative staff:  Rollie, Forrest and Graham.

Rollie retired in 2016. Mainly he was our quality control guy.

Forrest is currently the company head laborer and maintenance engineer.

Graham has graduated from high school and is competing to be head laborer and maintenance engineer. Heady ideals. And definitely he is our head hauler.
